The water supply is being interrupted due to works carried out by Affinity Water on Seven Hills Road. Please visit www.affinitywater.co.uk for updates and to report any incidents.
As usual, Founder’s Day took place to commemorate our Founder’s birthday on 29th September which this year coincided nicely for a Sunday service. In accordance with William Whiteley’s wishes, a gift is presented to all Villagers and this year, we called upon the help of our very own Nature Club to produce a specially commissioned souvenir tea towel featuring some stunning nature photography by resident Alan Whitehead.
This year, the previous award categories were consolidated to form one new one to win the Rod Bennion Cup, named in honour of our Chairman, Rod Bennion, OBE. The award to the beneficiary who has made the most outstanding contribution to village life, as voted for by residents, was Michael Smith. Michael is known to many who visit the Village Shop as he can be seen there almost every day helping to open up, with deliveries and is always willing to assist customers.
Congratulations Michael and thank you for everything you do!
