Look who we found sitting on top of one of our Village post boxes – and just in time to be included in our December edition of In Touch! We’re so grateful for these beautifully crocheted post box toppers which are created by an anonymous local supporter, and part of a national community initiative often by anonymous groups and individuals, who just want to brighten up their local areas and bring a smile to people’s faces. Last week we popped in to hear the Whiteley Village Community Choir rehearsing for their Christmas performance at Wisley Gardens. The choir is so important to the wellbeing of many of our residents and a much appreciated opportunity to get together and have fun – as you can see from the video clip here! We also feature the wonderful story of Michael Stearman who lives in Ingram House, one of our care homes, and celebrated his 90th birthday last week. Michael was a championship runner in his younger days and even ran a race on the morning of his wedding, so it was lucky for him his number one supporter was his wife! Many congratulations Michael.
We hope you enjoy reading In Touch, and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2022 – see you next year!
