In this edition of In Touch we feature two residents who have probably lived for the longest time at Whiteley Village. Arthur Taylor, 83 first moved in aged 11, when his mum and dad got jobs at the Trust, and has lived at Whiteley as a resident or a member of staff for most of his life. Previously our Estate Foreman, he seemed the perfect choice to plant a tree as our contribution to the Queen’s Green Canopy Scheme recently, having planted so many of the trees, shrubs and plants around the Village during his time working for our charity. Another resident, (almost) 93 year old Bubbles Linnegar – who got her nickname as a child due to her love of bubbles – celebrated her own Whiteley milestone this month, after living in the Village for an amazing 32 years! You can read their fascinating stories, along with other news from our charity here.
