During the pandemic the rainbow has come to symbolise our thanks and support for the NHS, but it is also the symbol for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) movement. So, in June we’re celebrating Pride month; a global event that recognises the contribution of the LGBT+ community to our society and raises awareness of the discrimination they still experience.
In recognition of this, we have temporarily amended our logo to feature the colours of a version of the rainbow Pride flag which also includes colours representing the fight against racism, in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
We believe in inclusivity and equality and want everyone who lives and works at Whiteley Village to feel accepted for who they are and able to contribute to our community. So we’re proud to support Pride 2020.
