Applicants of limited means
In accordance with our charitable purpose providing Surrey retirement homes in our dedicated community complex, most of our accommodation is only available to rent to retired people of limited means. Our housing team will require evidence of this as part of your application.

Regretfully, at the present time we are unable to offer accommodation to any new residents with diagnosis of dementia. If someone develops dementia whilst living at Whiteley, we may be able to support them depending on the complexity of their needs.
To qualify as a resident under the terms of our charity, you will:
be 65 years or over if male, and 60 years or over if female
have a total annual income of no more than £16,500 per person
have capital assets of no more than £30,000 per person or £50,000 per couple
have been living in the UK for five or more consecutive years
have a defined housing need including, not limited to:
at risk of involuntary homelessness
medical or welfare need which is exacerbated by your present accommodation
currently renting privately on a shorthold tenancy, with lack of security of housing in the future.
We prioritise applicants according to need and match them to a suitable property, and in line with the stated Objects of the Charity, including:
if you or your spouse have been engaged in commerce or agricultural pursuits.
Please ensure that your application form is completed in full and you include all supporting documentation. One Equality Monitoring form per person is required.
